Taxes in Seattle
Seattle has no city income tax and Washington has no state income tax on wages. (Seattle passed an income tax in 2017, but courts struck it down.)
Two Washington payroll premiums do come out of a Seattle paycheck: WA Cares long-term care (0.58% of wages) and the employee share of Paid Family & Medical Leave (about 0.81%). Seattle's JumpStart payroll expense tax is paid by large employers, not withheld from you.
Washington does tax large capital gains (7% over the annual exemption), which isn't a wage tax.
