How Colorado income tax works
Colorado has a flat 4.4% income tax applied to your federal taxable income — so the federal standard deduction is already built in, and there's no separate state deduction or exemption.
In some years TABOR surplus refunds temporarily cut the rate; whether that happens for 2026 depends on state revenue and isn't included here. High earners also have add-backs that aren't modeled.
